Caficultura!

I recently mentioned Caficultura in my post ‘7 Hours in San Juan’ where I told you all about the things you can do in that time period. I went to this restaurant for lunch that day with a friend and we loved it. I had been wanting to go here for such a long time since I discovered its existence and I had heard so much about it that my hopes were high. I arrived at the restaurant with an open mind. It was super easy to find. First I looked it up on Google Maps but on the trip the greeter at Saint Cristobal’s Castle, one of our stops, gave us a map of the entire Old San Juan town so finding Caficultura was not a problem. However, the door was tricky to find because they have display doors, ones that don’t open and are just decorations, but at the second try I got the right one. Now, let’s get into that name, Caficultura. If we split it up its ‘Cafi’(coffee) and ‘cultura’ (culture). Pretty easy to guess right. They have this cool feature where you can leave a paid coffee for someone to pick up. What this means is that anyone who doesn’t have the money to buy a coffee can walk up and ask if there are any paid coffees available. It’s a simple way of spreading love and kindness.

We were greeted at the door by a waitress who spoke Spanish and English. She was very helpful and attentive. Their venue is Spaniard inspired because Puerto Rico was colonized by Spain. If you want to know more about these historical facts go check out this post! I couldn’t take any pictures of the insides of the restaurant but here is one I found online.

Their menu has an all-day breakfast selection that is to die for. They also serve diner dishes like sandwiches and much more. I had a typical Spaniard breakfast. The food was quickly delivered and the prices are very affordable. I enjoyed my meal so much. Everything on my plate tasted amazing and was bursting with flavor. I couldn’t go to Caficultura without trying a cup of coffee made with beans from the island of course and I was not disappointed. They even made a cute heart shape with the cream on my coffee. I give Caficultura 5 stars and I will be eating there when I go back to San Juan!
